An eight-part drama series about abuses of power within the arena of a renowned fusion dance company.

The suicide of the young dancer Malik brings us to Anna Blanker’s dance company: De Hofstaat Danst. A company that has been a leader in the Dutch and Flemish cultural landscape for twenty years now. DHD consists of six young dancers who live together on a residential farm, share their lives in everything and (led by Anna) focus entirely on their passion: dance. Anna runs the company like a commune and expects her dancers to surrender to the dance, each other and to her.
